Turkey Day

We hosted family here at our house this Thanksgiving. We had the works - Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, squash, green bean casserole, broccoli-cheese casserole, rolls, corn bread, salad, cranberry sauce, (and canned cranberry!), and PIE... Lots of pie. (Thanks Grammy and Auntie JJ!) There was a lot of card playing, many stories read, and many naps. We are so thankful for all the blessings in our lives, and most especially for our family.

After scarfing this pie Leah said, "I think I'm full."
Hah!

Sam's Blog Debut

The Coronavirus pandemic has us hunkering down at home like many people around the country, and we are working to make the best of it!  The kids miss their friends at school and are disappointed about various things that have been cancelled or put on hold indefinitely, however there we are enjoying the time together as a family.  The days are full of extra stories, games, puzzles, bike rides, and walks.  We have started a few activities as part of our "school at home" routine and figured that resurrecting the blog might be a fun way to share what the kids are up to. But first, since the last time I wrote on the blog James was just learning how to crawl, and now James is a 4-year-old big brother, we figured we should officially introduce Mr. Samuel Drexel on the blog!  Sam is 9 months old now and he is lots of fun.  The kids have figured out a few ways to get him belly laughing in recent days.  We all laugh when he crawls after a pilates ball and pounces...

A Few End of Summer Activities

Just some recent pictures of the kids and their adventures...Leah is back to school (1st grade) and started pre-team at gymnastics. She mastered her two-wheeler and has been enjoying bike rides since! Wyatt started tumbling and we have at-home learning time when Asher takes his naps, which helps when he feels bummed that Leah gets to go off to school without him! Asher is 18 months now and a bundle of energy and fun. He, I'm sure, is glad Wyatt has another year before preschool! We think he is going to (mostly) like having a new brother around in a few months because he loves babies!

Our Three Stooges

Summer is here! Leah and Ryan's school years have come to a close and we have begun enjoying more time all together. (Ok, also there are more small skirmishes, but it's worth it!) A few pics of some summer shenanigans...
