Winter Fun (Already?!)

Well we had some record breaking snow for early November and it feels like winter has moved right in and made himself cozy. I have a feeling we will be seeing a lot more of it! It has that magic feel to it now...we will see if that lasts thru April!! But for now, we will enjoy our snowmen and hot chocolate and ice skating!

Just Some Backyard Hanging Out Pics

Well. Nothing new to report. Still have a house full of kooky kids and boxes. The kids are cuter than the boxes, so here they are:

August Happenings

Well now that we are back to school we are getting back into a school-year routine. Leah has loved her first two weeks of Kindergarten. We visit once a week at lunch time to help supervise the kiddos, and it is Wyatt's favorite day! The boys and I spend the rest of our days attempting to pack up the house to move, playing baseball, taking walks, discussing baseball, swinging, playing in in the sandbox, arguing about whether or not Wyatt can have another dessert, and unpacking the boxes I just packed up. :) Occasionally they take a nap at the same time and I get two loads of laundry done that day instead of one and maybe even clean something!  In the evenings, theyvlook out the window and wait for daddy so they can wrestle him.  Leah also started soccer, which is her first team sport. Poor Wyatt cant wait until hes old enough himself!

Leah's First Day of Kindergarten

Leah has headed off to KINDERGARTEN this morning!  She is very excited, and a little nervous.  I am very excited, and a little nervous too.  :)  Wyatt is bummed.  Every 5 minutes this morning he has said, "WHERE IS SISTER?!"  The I explain it to him again, and he says, "Oh, sister at school?  We pick her up?  Now?"  He loves her so much.

Exploring

We found a little Japanese garden to explore last night on our walk near the river. It was fenced in so no kids could escape and we had the whole thing to ourselves! We are soaking up the last days of summer vacation. Ryan has been back for a while, but his students start next week. Leah has kindergarten orientation next week too, and starts full time the next week. Yikes!!

Lions and Tigers and Bears! And a house!

The kids and I took a fun day trip with Grammy, Aunt Teresa,  and cousin Gracelyn last week. We spent an afternoon in Naperville at the river walk, visited our family, and then wrangled the children to bed. The next day we went to Brookfield zoo! Leah now hopes to be a dolphin trainer when she grows up. Wyatt wants to be a giraffe. :) In other news, we have made an offer on a new house and it was accepted! So we will be moving to the next town over within the month or so! Papa and Grammy Dainty came this weekend again and helped us with home inspection. We have been lucky yo see them several times this summer. Once I figure out where I stored our Tennessee trip pics I will put some of those up too.

Wyatt is 2!

Our little "wy-wy" (as he calls himself) just had his second birthday the other week. We celebrated with a beach trip on his bday. Then we celebrated more because we've had the good fortune of seeing various family members and grandparents lately! Desserts have been plentiful. Wyatt remains an avid fan of baseball ("baball") and he likes trains, police cars, monkeys, his siblings, and fruit ("fwuit"). He brings us so much laughter and joy. Also, rare moments of insanity. :) Couldn't imagine our family without him! Happy birthday little guy!

Asher's Baptism

Asher was baptised here at our parish a few weeks ago, and my brother just recently sent me some fantastic pictures that he took that day.  (Thanks Uncle Max!)  Asher was baptised by Fr. Pete, who presided at our wedding. Hi godparents are our dear friends Mark and Lesley.  Thanks to all who celebrated with us near and far!
