I don't know about you all, but we have had rain, rain, rain, and more rain here. Our grass is growing like crazy, but doesn't stay dry long enough to cut it! Last weekend we finally had some beautiful sunny weather. Ryan's parents were here visiting. We went to Ryan's baseball game. His team had an awesome season this year. (I think their record was something like 19-3?) We also did some playing outside. As we were cleaning out the little fountain in our backyard Leah had lots of fun making a mud pie out of herself. She was really funny about sticking her head into the water from the hose, too. Unfortunately, I didn't any pictures with "Gwammy and Papa!" I guess because Grandma took these pictures...but Leah had a fun time with them, including a day shopping and riding the choo-choo (twice!) at the mall.
My sixth grade class has been working on persuasive essays this quarter, and one of their first assignments was to write a persuasive piece on what Mr. and Mrs. Dainty should name their baby! They worked in partners, and they got to choose either a girl's name or a boy's name. Their responses were quite interesting and they have certainly given us some chuckles.
