Wyatt's 5 Months

Two posts in one day.  Woah.  5 day weekends are nice!   So Wyatt is 5 months as of today, and he just had a giant explosion of new skills.  He started rolling over a while ago, but now he rolls down constantly - the second you lay him down.  (Makes diaper changes interesting...)  He is also getting good at repeated rolling and getting himself all the way across the room.  This leads me to have small panic attacks because I go to put a dish in the sink, or let the dog out, and I come back and he's GONE!  Until I hear him giggling under the coffee table.  Stinker.    He grabs for everything - hair, glasses, furniture, sweatshirt drawstrings, toys, dog ears, sister ears, your dinner... And he gets very excited about new toys.  He continues to be a smiley and happy little guy.  (See video below for proof!)   Hope you all had a happy Thanksgiving!  We'll post pictures from our Thanksgiving soon.  Ou...

Happy 4th B-Day Leah!

It is crazy to think that for four years, I have been separating our family laundry into darks, lights, and pinks, and cleaning glitter out of the lint trap of the dryer.  For four years, we have been blessed to have Miss Leah Catherine in our lives!  She turned four last week, and she couldn't have been more excited for her birthday.  She tiptoed into our room at about 5:50am and whisper-shouted, "Hey guys!  Guess What?!  I'm FOUR now!  Can you measure me on the wall now?!"  We made her wait awhile before we measured her on the wall.  Her birthday included her favorite meals, a trip to the mall to pick out new clothes, a turn on the mall-jumpy-trampoline-thing (sadly, the mall choo-choo is gone...), and more!     Daddy cooked Leah's birthday breakfast request: biscuits! With butter.  Of course.   Uncle Greg let Leah paint his nails. Pink with sparkles.  Beautiful! FOUR!    For dinner, L...

Halloween!

It was a cold, windy Halloween here this year, but we had a good time never the less!  Many families out east were facing rough times, so we considered ourselves blessed to be able to do something as frivolous as dressing up in silly costumes and trick-or-treating.  Leah decided she wanted to be an angel this year, and Wyatt "decided" to be a baseball.  :)  They were both pretty cute if I do say so myself!  I thought Wyatt would be grumpy when we put him in his costume; I figured if I got one good picture it would be worth the time it took to make it!  But he was happy as a clam and he smiled and cooed away, so I got lots of great pictures.  He was certainly the warmest of of us all during trick-or-treating, although he only went the length of one block  before I took him inside again.  (Leah and Ryan kept going - I think Leah would have trick-or-treated all night if we let her!)
